    Hartwell was a Revolutionary War soldier. Where he died and was buried is unknown at this time. He was a Methodist preacher.

    In 1805, the family moved to Tennessee near the town of Clarksville and stayed there another 24 years rearing 10 more children. In 1829, they moved to Illinois and settled near the town of Corinth in Southern Illinois. They had one more son after moving for a total of 8 sons and 4 daughters. Elizabeth and John are buried on their original homestead.

    Died – 11 October, 1888, Williamson County, Illinois

    Married – John Hendrickson, ca. 1803, John was a Methodist preacher and a soldier in the regular army when they were married. He was a Honor Guard at George Washington’s funeral in 1799.
