William Hunter, immigrated to America Circa 1685. Became Justice of the Quorum in Nansemond County, Virginia. His wife (unknown) is also buried here. William Hunter and his wife had children: William Hunter, Jr., Nicholas Hunter, Isaac Hunter, Robert Hunter, Alice Hunter, and Sarah Hunter Battle. William Hunter died in the 1720s, believed by some to have died around 1728. The William Hunter Cemetery rests on William Hunter’s original patented homestead in America.
